The Misdirection changes are *awesome* - except for the change in animation. Instead of the the swirly target over your head at the start of the MD, it appears at the end of the MD.

"I haven’t gone on the PTR to test this out, but I hear it is nice. I am not looking forward to the times when I forget about the change and cast it 20 second before a pull, then shoot and pull aggro. Maybe I should pre-apologize to the tanks. And I’ll need to update my “Misdirection Do’s and Don’ts” post!"

You're confused. The change is not "you have 4 seconds from when you press the button", the change is "from the time that you do your next threat-generating attack, you have four seconds to generate more threat."

So, if you cast it, you start the same 30 second countdown you do now. Then, once you attack, you have four seconds to get as much aggro on the boss as you can.

This means that, for example, a serpent sting 'tick' doesn't consume one of your MD charges, and that you can do a multi-shot (which previously would have consumed all three charges) then another followup arcane shot and have all the threat sent to the tank.

One place you'll see this getting a fair amount of use, I expect, is Onyxian Whelps: Pop misdirect, and volley away. ALl that volley threat will go right to the tank, and help keep the whelps in place, rather than chasing after you.

Aha, but the Turkeys weren't critters - they were beasts! Beast Tracking FTW. :) That's how I did it.

Unit nameplates for critters are never displayed.

I thought it was helpful when I went for the Turkinator. :)
