WoW Word of the Week: doughty

July 5th, 2009

I picked this word because I think it’s funny how similar doughty meaning fearless and brave is to doughy meaning soft and flabby.  Hehe!

doughty

/DOW-tee/, adjective:

Marked by fearless resolution; valiant; brave.

Example: Twenty-five doughty fighters stood with weapons ready… waiting for Keal’thas to stop going on and on and just let them kill him!

wwotwWoW Word of the Week is my weekly Sunday post to encourage the expansion of the average WoW player’s vocabulary beyond “noob”, “pwnd” and “FAIL”. The WWOTW will be used in every other post this week, and I urge you to use it as well!
