I have to whine cause I had 5 out of the 8 candies, so I even miss out on the retroactive reward! I seriously stayed up all night for 3 straight nights to get a flippin’ bag of candy and into the morning the event was over and Nothing. I got tons of the “rarer” drops. Well ok this is boring and whining is over, let me go do more Heroics to keep my mind off it!

Korixys – Glad you’re in the same boat, it certainly made my day yesterday when I heard about it!

Now hopefully I will have all of my holiday achievements done by the end of next Lunar festival!

OMG! You have made my day! I was having such a rough day at work today until i read your post. I was really beat up over the valentine’s World Event. I was like you trying over and over, hour after hour hoping to get just one more bag of candy, for that last little piece of candy to get the meta achievement. When it ended and i still hadn’t got it, I felt so slighted that I put in a ticket to talk to a GM. To no avail though, they basically said that since its an achievement based on luck there is nothing they can do, and better luck next year. BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR?!!! That really pissed me off. I guess enough people got stuck like us and enough brought it to Blizzards attention. Thanks for making my day!

I was lucky and managed to get the achievement at the time but I do understand how happy this will make people.

I agree with Faulsey’s comment regarding the elitist attitude towards raiding.

It irritates me when people behave like that. Big deal, it’s a game, have fun in it!

I completely agree. Especially for the Be Mine achievement, it was just people getting RNG screwed - how can someone object to people who worked just as (if not harder!) than them at it, but didn't get the candies, getting the title? For raids though, I think it's a bit of an elitist thing. People liked knowing they were so much better than the rest of the "drooling masses", so are unhappy when such masses get to, y'know, experience the game.
